The beloved actor and filmmaker passed away on Friday at the age of 87 due to health complications related to aging, at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.
A photograph of a youthful Manoj Kumar was displayed at the entrance of his residence, allowing fans and friends to pay their final tributes.
An ambulance adorned with tri-colour flowers departed from his home around 10:30 AM, heading to Pawan Hans crematorium in Juhu for the funeral.
On the day of his passing, notable figures such as Dharmendra, Prem Chopra, and filmmakers Madhur Bhandarkar and Farah Khan, accompanied by her brother Sajid Khan, visited to express their condolences.
Manoj Kumar, affectionately known as 'Bharat Kumar' by his admirers, was celebrated for his roles in numerous patriotic films, including classics like Shaheed, Upkar, Purab Aur Paschim, and Roti, Kapda aur Makaan.
Born Harikrishan Goswami in Abbottabad (now in Pakistan) into a Punjabi Hindu family, Kumar's family relocated to Delhi in 1947, coinciding with India's independence.
He graduated from Hindu College at Delhi University before moving to Mumbai to chase his dreams in the film industry.
His illustrious career featured other significant films such as Himalaya Ki God Mein, Do Badan, Patthar Ke Sanam, Hariyali Aur Raasta, and Kranti.
